Farewell

Bidding farewell to a colleague in your office may be hard or easy for you depending on your relationship. However, you do not have a choice in the matter and you must part ways with the utmost grace and show of respect.
Any person who is leaving an office where he or she has worked for a considerable time will expect that colleagues bid goodbye without any hard feelings. A gift is called for regardless of the relationship with your fellow worker and serves as a great medium to make amends if it is needed!

  • Memories: These can be gifted in very creative forms. There is nothing more beautiful than when you are able to express to your friend that his or her time in the office has created some unforgettable and beautiful memories. You can easily do this by making a collage of old photographs depicting good times or make a certificate signed by all that says how everyone will miss the person’s absence and appreciates his or her time with them.
  • Artifacts:  There are many artifacts that can be personalized to remind the person of the wonderful friends he or she is leaving behind. One can either give a very expensive artifact with the entire office having contributed towards it or you can give it personally. A beautiful and meaningful artifact is sure to be appreciated and will serve as a decorative piece in his or her house for a long time. It is a very thoughtful gift especially if the person is moving to a new location.
  • Gifts based on the individual: After working closely with somebody for some time, it is natural for both parties to know about each other’s likes or dislikes and your farewell gift can easily be quite unique after giving some thought to the receiver’s personality. Books that you know will be appreciated, travel accessories that will prove useful when he or she is on the move or any other item that is required for his or her hobby are very thoughtful gifts.
